Reviews
Excellent service. I had smoked ribs that were very good. Very good collard greens. I asked for the broccoli salad. They were out and brought cucumber and tomato salad instead. Kind of presumptuous but, it was OK so, no big deal. Mac and cheese was way overcooked (mush & cheese). Very nice yeast bread & butter.
Bett's in Chiefland has been around as long as I can remember. The food is always pretty good, and I can't say I have ever had a bad meal here. Last week, I had the rib-eye steak with a big side salad and it was great. The service was prompt and the waitress was cordial. The restaurant looks like an old truck stop from back in the day, there is plenty of room and it always appears clean.
Betts has not changed much since the early 70's. The food is good the portions are generous and the people are friendly. It's a country style place with home cooked food that has great breakfast. I always stop here because it breaks back beauty memories of my poppa Jack. Every winter we he would take me hunting north to Perry and we'd leave at 5 am, stop at Betts for breakfast then head to the camp. I miss him immensely.
